Sabancı University Rocket Team (SUROC) participated in TURKCOMPOSITE 2026, held at the Istanbul Expo Center on October 21–23, 2026. With its own booth, the team presented its rocket and engineering work to professionals from the composites, aerospace, and defense industries.
The exhibition brought together representatives of the composite materials and manufacturing technologies sectors. SUROC showcased the carbon fiber and fiberglass components used in its rocket, highlighting their applications in rocket engineering and the broader aerospace field through its own design and manufacturing work.
Throughout the three-day event, the team engaged with industry professionals to discuss the rocket’s development process and exchange technical knowledge. The exhibition also provided an opportunity to learn about current industry practices, establish new connections, and explore potential collaborations for future projects.
Through its participation in TURKCOMPOSITE 2026, SUROC continued to bring its university-based engineering work into professional industry settings. The team remains committed to advancing its rocket technologies through interdisciplinary engineering while representing Sabancı University on national and international platforms.
